Soundpic Talking Postcards

Soundpic Talking Postcards

IS IT EASY TO MAKE A TALKING POSTCARD?
Ridiculously! Choose or make a Soundpic, and click the postcard icon button at the bottom of the Play screen to turn it into a Talking Postcard. It will step you through the payment and addressing page, and you can add a personal message.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
You can send your Talking Postcard anywhere in the U.S. for only $4.99 (includes first class postage!). This includes printing, your built-in sound chip, addressing and mailing.

WHAT DO TALKING POSTCARDS LOOK LIKE? WHAT ARE THE SPECS?
Talking Postcards are printed with a full bleed front photo, with a traditional postcard format on the back. They measure about 5×7”. The cardstock is uncoated. And they are awesome.

HOW DOES THE TALKING POSTCARD WORK?
There’s a note that instructs your recipient to remove a small battery tab (this is what prevents your postcard from “talking” while in the mail). After that, simply press the button to start and stop the sound.

HOW DO I USE THE BUILT-IN FOLD-OUT STAND?
Your Talking Postcard comes with small, transparent stickers on each side. Gently break the perforation of these tabs. Press on the bottom to pop it out, enabling a base for your Talking Postcard to stand on.

HOW DO I PAY FOR THE POSTCARDS AND POSTAGE?
It’s easy. You can use major credit cards or Paypal to pay for your postcard. Postage is included!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO ARRIVE IN SOMEONE’S MAILBOX?
The typical timeframe for delivery varies, but approximately 5 business days is a safe estimate.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH MY POSTCARD?
Our super-duper number one priority is making sure you get a high-quality Talking Postcard delivered as soon as we can. Because we rely on the U.S. Postal Service, in the rare cases that a postcard does get lost, we’re happy to remake and resend your Talking Postcard free of charge.

CAN YOU CANCEL/REFUND MY PURCHASE IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG?
In order to get your Talking Postcard in the hands of your recipient as soon as possible, we print and ship it right after you create it. Therefore, we are unable to offer refunds. However, we’ll do whatever it takes to make you happy–including remaking and mailing any defective Talking Postcards free of charge.

IS MY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION SAFE?
Absolutely. This is really important to us. All transactions are processed and verified by Paypal in real time. We don’t store this information. The information is in their control and subject to their terms and procedures.

FAQs for Soundpic

What is Soundpic?

Soundpic is a mobile app that lets you create and share a single image with a sound attached. You can share your Soundpics via Facebook or email.

How do I get started?

Soundpic is currently available for iPhone (4, 4S, 5) and iPod Touch (4th and 5th generation). You can download it here.

Using the App

How do I select an image and sound to create a Soundpic?

  1. After you’ve taken a video or chosen an existing video, you’ll find yourself in the Select Image screen. Swipe your finger through the frames to choose the image you like. Hit  Select.
  2. Now you’re in the Select Sound screen. Use the bars to frame out the sound you’re looking for.
  3. To save, hit the button with the downward arrow on it.

I’m tired of scrolling through frame by frame. What’s a quick way to get to the image I like?

You can hit the Play button to get there more quickly. When you get close to the image you like, hit Pause. Then scroll to the desired frame.

In what format is my Soundpic saved?

Your Soundpic is saved as a .mov file so you can treat it like any video.

How do I share the Soundpic I created to Facebook?

In your My Soundpics screen, click on the Soundpic that you want to share, and hit the Share button (the rectangle with an arrow attached in the lower left corner). Then click Facebook.

I just deleted my post! How do I undo?

Deleting a Soundpic is a permanent action. There is no way to retrieve a deleted Soundpic. But you can always easily create a new one from the original video.

So, my Soundpic is playing sideways. What’s up with that?

More than likely, you’re using Windows Media Player, which unfortunately, does not play nice with Soundpic. Please use Quicktime instead.

Is there any way to make my Soundpic look more crisp when I view it on Facebook?

Yes. When you click on a Soundpic to play it, it should open in a new window. In the lower right corner, you’ll see the letters “HD.” Click on that to make sure it’s bright white (not grey-ed out).

How do I suggest improvements for Soundpic?

Within the Settings screen, click the Feedback button.
